Joe Sala is an ‘old world’ Painter and sculptor. He looks at the Past in order to move forward with his own impressions, feelings and colors. The human figure is the focus of his artistic endeavours. His blend of photo-realism and impressionism and impasto technique to reflect light in his painting make for visceral feeling. HIs inspiration for art began at age 15 with “the Thinker” a bronze sculpture by August Rodin.
